Prost to the Peaks. It's Oktoberfest.

Grab your lederhosen and dirndls and join the Town of Mountain Village for the highly anticipated return of Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 10th. Our plazas will transform into a high-alpine Bavarian setting to bring the classic German fall festival tradition to the San Juans, including a traditional festival tent, beer garden and family fun throughout the day.

A Mountain-Town Take on a Bavarian Classic

Heritage Plaza turns into an alpine village for the weekend — string lights, blue-and-white banners, and the smell of pretzels and bratwurst drifting between plazas. It's a lineup built for every age and every appetite, and the whole point is to wander: a stein here, a sharing board there, a set from the oompah band, and the kids off running the Auf-mazing Race. More than a party, it's Mountain Village's community gathering of the year.

Family Activities

Built for Guests of Every Age

Little ones — and plenty of grown-ups, let's be honest — can decorate a pretzel necklace, ice a gingerbread heart, race in a burlap sack, or chase down the Bavarian Auf-mazing Race across the plazas. Musical chairs and scavenger hunts run in heats by age group, so a three-year-old and a ten-year-old both get their turn to win.

Add live music, roaming entertainers, and photo-worthy backdrops at every turn, and the energy never dips — from the first sack race Saturday morning to the last song Saturday night.
